Taegan 11 Months

Our little guys is 11 months now. I can't believe it!! He is growing so fast. He is starting to walk now. He takes 6 to 8 steps now before he sits back down and tries it a gain. I have not been able to get the camera in time to take a picture of it yet but I will. But for now here are some pics of him in his room playing. He loves to go to his room on his own and just play. It is so cute!!!

We did our own Family Christmas on Saturday Morning. We are going to Kyles brother Eric's house for Christmas and we did not have room to bring everything so we did most of ours already. We had so much fun!! Taegan was a little sick from cutting his first tooth but he had a good time.

We had so much fun for Thanksgiving this year. We went to Tennessee stayed at Eric and Rozanne's house. They are so awesome for letting us stay there!! While Kyle and Eric went to their dad's in Missouri to hunt, the girls spent lots of money on Black Friday. Rozanne, Jesikah and I started our shopping extravaganza at 10 p.m. and worked the stores and websites until late the next day. We got most of our Christmas shopping out of the way but we ere left really tired!!! Here are a few pictures we took during our Thanksgiving Vacation.

For our anniversary we went to North Carolina for the long weekend. We had so much fun!! We were able to go with Kyle's brother Eric and his family. They are so much fun to be with!! On our way to Asheville we stoped of to hike up clingmans dome which is the highest point in Tennessee and then on Monday we went to the Biltmore house. It was awesome!! In Aug, Taegan and I were able to go to Arkansas to see my family while Kyle was gone to Washington D.C.. Most of my family from Utah came as well (Hans, Loni and Lila and Christina with here twins and Aaron, Claudia and baby Nolan). My sister Marianne came too with 2 of her kids and picked me up on the way. We had so much fum. Taegan was so good!!! Here are just some of the may pics that were taken.

He loves to suck on his toes! So cute!

Taegan is 5 1/2 months now and he is doing so many new things. He loves to "sing" anytime he hears music. He sits up on his own now for long periods of time and some times he will stand holding on to the couch. He loves his mom!! Anytime I walk by him when he is playing on the floor he starts to cry. Not Good!! He does the same thing with Kyle when he is home. We need to get him out of that. He is a talker!! He loves to just look at you and talk. It is so cute!! He loves Crookshanks too. When she comes by him he starts to laugh so hard and he reaches for her. He likes to grab her fur and pull really hard but she just sits there and purrs. He is a joy in our lives and we are so blessed to have him. Here are some pics!!

Ok, so Taegan is 4-1/2 months now and he is acting as though he may be ready to eat something other than breast-milk. So yesterday, we fed him his first rice cereal and let him drink out of a sippy for the first time. Did he like the taste and texture of the cereal? I will let you guys be the judge.

Kyle had training scheduled in Washington, D.C. so we thought it would be a good idea for Taegan and I to come with him for the 4th of July. We had so much fun! While Kyle was in class, Taegan and I walked around until Kyle was finished with training. He would meet us at different locations and we took some really fun pictures of our vacation. Here are some of them and I will post more in another post.

3 Months!!

Today is Taegen's 3 month birthday!! I can't believe it has already been 3 months. It has gone by so fast. We have enjoyed every minute of being parents. Here are some of the things that Taegan has been doing.

1. He sleeps through the night
2. He laughs out loud.
3. He talks (baby talks) all day long.
4. He goes 3-4 hours without eating :}
5. He hardly ever cries so when he does we know he does not feel good.
6. He loves tummy time.
7. He loves it when daddy comes home from work!

This is just some of the many things he does during the day. He changes everyday and we have so much fun with him. Here are some pictures we have taken. Enjoy!!

Taegan's Baby Blessing

Last Sunday our little man was blessed. Kyle did such a great job; I am so proud of him! My mom and dad, along with my sister Marianne and her 3 kids came for the blessing and stayed a couple of days with us. Our little house was completely full and we had such a good time with them. Kyle's brother Eric and his family came to witness and participate in the baby blessing as well. Kent (Kyle's dad) was able to get time off work to golf and bless Taegan. Here are a few pics. enjoy!

Disney World!!

Last week we (last min.) went to Florida and went to Disney world with Kyle's brother Eric and his family and with Kyle's mom. We had so much fun!!! It was mine and Taegan's First time going and it was a blast! Taegan did so good. He slept the whole time but he only woke yo to eat and change his diaper. After Disney we went to stay at his grandma's house and we got to hang out with TJ and Sunshine. We love going to Florida and we can't wait to go back.

Sorry I have not posted in a while. It is hard to find the time to get things done now that Taegan is here. My mom was able to come out and help out a few weeks ago and I am so thankful for her help. So here is a pic of Meme with Taegan. Finally after three weeks his umbilical cord finally came off so we gave him his firs real bath and he loved it. He loves the part when I wash his hair. He is so cute I love him so much!!

Taegan is a week old now and he is such an amazing baby. He eats good and sleeps good too. What more could we ask for? He keeps getting cuter by the day and he does the funniest things. Kyle's mom Cindi came out this first week and helped out a lot. Thank you Cindi!!! My mom will be here on Saturday (March 5). We have waited so long for this little guy to come and he is such a blessing to us. Enjoy the pics!

Taegan Kale Bass was born February 22, 2011 at 1:10 p.m. He was 7 lbs. and 19 inches long. Labor and delivery went fast and smooth. It was an amazing experience! These are some of the many pics we took in the hospital. I hope you like them!!

Saturday My good friend Melanie and a few others put on a baby shower for me. It was so much fun and I think that she did a really good job! That you Melanie!!! My mom and day came from Arkansas for it and to bring me the cradle that my dad built for me! I love it so much, he did such a good job on it!! Thank you Dad and Mom! My sister Marianna came as well from Georgia and she brought one of her little girls Hali with her. She also brought me soooooo much stuff from when Cole was born. Thanks Marianne! Also Kyle's brother Eric and his wife Rozanne came with the family and the girls came to the shower and the boys hung out at the house. Thanks you guys for coming and for the gift!! Snow Day's

A coupe of weeks ago it snowed like crazy here and we loved it!! Kyle missed 2 days of work which was awesome! We had so much fun just hanging out and playing in the snow. We spent a couple of hours building this show fort thing and it turned out really cool.

Kyle set up Taegan's crib on Monday for our FHE activity. I did help a little as well as Crookshanks. She had to be right there in the middle of everything. She is so cute! It is getting so real now that we only have 2 1/2 months left and now that the crib is up and yesterday we got his bouncer which I set up this morning. It's a Boy!!!

I know it has been so long since my last post but I have been busy. So for all of you who do not know we are having a boy!! We are so happy and we can't wait for him to get here in a few more months. I don't have a picture of me pregnant on my computer right now so I took one from my sister in laws blog that she took while we were at the Harry Potter Park. It was so fun. Baby News!!!

For all of you who do not know we are having a baby!! Yay!! I am 14 week along and everything is going really good. We are so exited to finally be able to be parents and a little scared as well. I have not been too sick so I am happy about that!! My due date is March 1st so we have a while to get everything ready. We are really happy and we will keep you all up to date on everything that is going on!

Washington, D.C.

Kyle and I are in Washington D.C. right now and we love it here. We are currently experiencing the 'Blizzard of 2010'. Washington D.C. got 24" of snow the day before we arrived and about 14" of snow since we have flown in. Our government tends to be 'close happy' during inclement weather, so most of the museums have been shut down. We have been able to walk around the entire Washington National Mall area and admire the outside of the beautiful buildings. We stopped by the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, WWII Memorial, and a few sculpture gardens outside the Smithsonian Museums. We also had time to take some pictures of the US Capitol Building, Supreme Court, and the Library of Congress. It is amazing to witness the beauty and rich history of Washington D.C.!! At the same time, it is sad to think that so many idiots now occupy seats to represent the people.

Ringling Brothers & Barnum & Bailey Circus

We went to the circus at the Von Braun Center in downtown Hunstville last week and had so much fun!! I had never been before so it was cool to see the gymnastics, stunts, and crazy animal tricks. Kyle's brother and his family came down from Clarksville, TN to enjoy the circus atmosphere with us. We love to hang out with them, almost as much as we loved the midgets doing flips and riding motorcycles!!

I know it has been way too long since I last posted but here is what we have been up to .... We moved to Huntsville, Alabama and built a house in Madison. We love having our own house so much. Kyle has been busy working and going on training trips. It is sad when he goes but I get to accompany him some of the time. Here are a few pics of our house (so cute). This is not the snow quantity that we are use to but for Alabama this is not too bad.

It has been way to long since our last post. We have had a crazy busy past few months. Since my last post I was able to go to Utah to see my sister Christina and her twin baby girls who are soooo cute I can't get over them!

Kyle has moved to Huntsville Alabama without me and I am really sad about that. We are waiting for me to move there for when our house is done. We should be closing around the 9th of October. Lets hope everything goes well so we can move into our new home!!

Our 4 Year anniversary was this past Monday so Kyle got a long weekend and came and got me and then we went to Hot Springs Arkansas. We had so much fun. I really miss him!! The next time we will see each other will be after his birthday trip to Utah where he is going to go to Yellowstone with his brothers and friends. He will have fun! I do have pics but Kyle took the camera with him to Huntsville and I will have to wait to post them when I see him again.

So that is pretty much it for the news now. I will try to keep it up better!

Sad News!

For those of you who have not heard I had my first ultrasound on the 23rd and we saw a sac but they said it was to early to see the baby. So they had me come in yesterday for my 2nd one and there was still just a sac with no baby. The doctor said that there was nothing I could have done to prevent it and that I should stay positive because the good news is I can get pregnant. I go in on Monday to schedule a DNC so that we can try again sooner. We can't wait for the chance that we will have to become parents!!

Kyle and I got to go to Huntsville this past weekend to pick out all of the things for our new home such as, brick color, paint color, carpet, counter tops and cabninets, ect... it was so much fun. We were also able to pick out our lot that we are going to build our home on. We are so exited!!

We finally found out on Monday that we will be going to Huntsville Alabama. We are really happy about this move because Kyle's dad works there and his brother Eric is really close by. We have never been there but we have heard a lot of good things about it. Kyle graduated on August 20th and then we will be moving after that. We are going to miss my family here in Texarkana and we are so thinkful for them for all that they have done for us this last year that we have been here. We will miss them so much.

We went to Austin Texas this weekend to see my sister Marianne. We had so much fun! Marianne and Brandon showed us downtown Austin, which has the largest capital building in the US. We also ate at this really cool outdoor restaurant with sweet music playing. Then we went to a Lake Travis and took some pictures. We can't wait to go back!

Thanks to my sister Jennifer, I was able to go to Utah for 9 days. I had so much fun! I miss my little nephews so much! This is a picture of Grayson (back) and Morgan (front). They are so sweet and cute. Jennifer and I got to go to the movies almost everyday. I visited my other sister Christina who is having twins. I also spent time with my brothers: Jarrod and his sweet family, Hans and and his family, and Aaron. I was also able to see my in-laws: T.J., Sunshine, and their cute baby boy Kalin. I really missed being around all of my family.
